FB.com Sold to Facebook for $8.5Million

Web site flipping has been one great source of high RIO for anyone who wants to run online business.  The choice of site name and concept is what makes money for the owners. And this has been demonstrated by facebook group in two separate purchase of sites they have done over the years.

Faceboook.com was purchased from its original owner in August 2005 as a high prices domain name then. Facebook was originally known when starting as TheFacebook and had to acquire Facebook premium name from the owner.

FB.com: facebook bought their acronym name FB.com last year from the American Farm Bureau Federation, which uses fb.org as its primary domain. In its annual meeting in the USA, the non-profit organization revealed that it earned $8.5 million on the sale of fb.com.

Why would facebook buy that name? Because they need traffic at all cost and also want names that will reflect their name. If you type FB.com, it will redirect you to facebook.com.

All these two name purchase seem expensive for the company as at time of buying but their investment always pay off.

    How do i get the themes you promised so that i can download them. i am already logged in but havent found any themes to download so that i can build my site. Can we use the themes you promised us in the modules to design blogger too?

    Agree with most classmates said, Wikipedia is the best way to get the general ideas of certain topics. However, for more detailed information, other sources such as the library database would be a better choice.As this search engine is only available to certain people just like cityu students, we should make good use of this valuable source.
    We are now receiving a higher level of eduaction. And most likely the information that we need to refer to is more academic. The database provides us with reliable books and journals that suit our level of needs.
    Social bookmarking sites are new things to me, I will try to explore them in the future.
